Wadi Bani Khalid – clear turquoise water & red rocks
Wadi Bani Khalid is one of the best-known wadis in Oman. Fed by a natural spring, the striking turquoise waters flow year-round through the surrounding red rocky gorge.
The northern end near Muqil has a large swimming pool and picnic areas that are very popular — and crowded on weekends. You can also walk and swim through from the southern end, where you’ll have the beautiful wadi almost all to yourself.
